Babi Fontana (1984, São Paulo-BR) is a director, choreographer and performer. In recent years, he has been developing projects that cross the boundaries of dance, cinema and the visual arts. She is an artist whose practice is focused on researching movement, sound and voice and deeply influenced by her studies in dance and gesture. Graduated from the Angel Vianna Dance School (Rio de Janeiro) and is currently taking a Master's degree in Performing Arts from Unicamp (Campinas).

His latest projects: Aquilo que Fue (He received ProAC SP Award for Inedited Dance Works, 2019), Colisões (Cuban Art Factory, Havana 2018), Queda nº1 (2018), Other Derivas  (Official Show 13th Latin American Film Festival of SP and ProAC Integrated Works of Arts Award 2017), 6 Models to play (Rumos Dance Itau Cultural Award 2016).

He participated in several artist residencies, including "Eu, the mirror of the other" with Arkadi Zaides (Israel/France) at MIT SP 2019 and with Anthony Nestel and Esther Arribas (Netherlands) in The Seafroth Knows Neither Pain nor Time, Verbo Mostra de Performance Art 2017).

Fontana collaborated with artists Dani Lima, Denise Stutz, Marcio Abreu, Victor Costa, Alex Cassal, Cristian Duarte, Uxa Xavier, Fernando Belfiore, Gustavo Ciríaco, among others. And he has already presented his works in several cities in Brazil, Havana, Berlin and London.
